Consultation booking and refunds
CONSULTATION BOOKING, CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING AND REFUND POLICY Versed Attorneys Last updated: 8th September 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This policy sets out how consultations are booked, rescheduled, and cancelled, and how fees are refunded, for both one-off consultations and hourly-billed services, as well as for Creator Counsel subscription plans offered by Versed Attorneys (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy forms part of, and should be read alongside, our website terms and conditions. If this policy conflicts with the website terms and conditions regarding booking, cancellation, or refunds, this policy prevails.
2. Booking a Consultation
Consultations can be booked via the booking link or form on our website, or by contacting us directly. After booking, you will receive confirmation of the consultation date, time, and format, including a meeting link where applicable.
3. Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule a booked consultation, please notify us as early as possible, and in any event at least 24 hours before the scheduled time, so we can arrange a suitable alternative for you. Requests to reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice will be accommodated where possible, but we do not guarantee an alternative slot within a specific timeframe.
4. One-Off Consultations and Hourly-Billed Services
This paragraph applies to consultations and other services billed on a one-off or hourly basis, except for Creator Counsel subscription plans.
- Fees are fully refundable if you cancel before the consultation or before the work begins.
- Once a consultation has taken place, or work on your matter has begun, fees already paid for that consultation or scope of work are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice before a scheduled consultation may incur a cancellation fee, in addition to the refund policy outlined above.
5. Creator Counsel Subscription Plans
5.1. Monthly Usage Limits
Each Creator Counsel subscription tier includes a defined monthly usage limit (for example, a set number of consultations, reviews, or advisory hours, depending on the tier). When a client reaches their monthly limit, the following applies:
- Non-urgent matters will be queued for attention in the next billing cycle.
- Urgent requests may, at the client's election, be handled either as a paid add-on at our stated rate for out-of-plan work, or by upgrading the client to the next subscription tier for the relevant billing cycle.
5.2. Billing
Creator Counsel subscription fees are billed monthly in advance, at the start of each billing cycle.
5.3. Cancellation and Refunds
Refunds for Creator Counsel subscriptions are calculated based on the services actually used in the billing cycle in which cancellation occurs, rather than merely on whether any service was provided in that cycle. Specifically:
- where a client cancels their subscription, we will assess the value of services already delivered in the current billing cycle against the fee paid for that cycle.
- the value of services already used will be treated as earned and is non-refundable.
- the balance of the fee attributable to services not yet used in that cycle will be refunded to the client on a pro rata basis.
- where a client cancels before any service has been provided within the current billing cycle, the entire fee for that cycle is refunded on a pro-rata basis calculated from the date of cancellation.
Cancellation of a Creator Counsel subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and no further fees will be billed in subsequent cycles once cancellation is confirmed. Any applicable refund under this paragraph will be processed in accordance with paragraph 6 below.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Where a refund is due under this Policy, it will be processed to the original payment method within Two (2) business days of confirmation of the refund.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services or fee structures. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the date of the most recent revision. The version of this policy in force at the time of your booking or subscription shall apply to that booking or subscription.
